I am not the only one who needs some extra help figuring out how to have a happier day, right? It’s alright to ask for some help! That’s what I’m here for! I’ve been running a little experiment to figure out what I and all of us can do to have a great day!

THIS TIP IS FOR EVERYONE. Whether you are a business mogul, homemaker, student, or part timer!

It doesn’t matter what age you! This tip is a perfect skill to master early but it certainly isn’t ever too late to begin implementing it into your life.

What is this one thing that you have to do everyday to have a happier and more productive day?

It isn’t working out, putting in 8 hours, or cleaning the entire house.

It’s actually pretty simple and totally manageable and it doesn’t take any longer than 10 minutes!

Make your bed!

Thought I was gonna say something super inspirational or astounding?

Sorry to disappoint but actually making your bed is the best thing that you can do for your day! Alright, ONE of the best things! Let’s not forget about personal hygiene.

I’ll admit that I was one of those people who rarely made her bed. I always thought, what is the point? No one is going to see it made and it’s going to get messed up again tonight anyways!

All of these points are very valid for many of us!

But there are even more reasons to make the bed and how important it is.  

How is this important?

I’ve been doing this little experiment for about 3 weeks now and let me tell you! There is a huge difference in my day compared to when I make the bed and when I don’t.

I believe that there are at least three key reasons as to why making the bed leads to a productive and happier day.

1. Get the ball rolling.

Have you ever noticed that once you do something, that simply motivates you to get more done?

This is the same thing! Once, the bed is made than it doesn’t seem like a huge thing to do the dishes or pick up the bedroom, living room, ECT.

Plus, having a made bed helps keep the room feel more put together and a happier place to be.

2. Start the day off right with a sense of accomplishment.

Even if you don’t do anything else with your day, at least you’ll know that you made the bed! That one little accomplishment will help make the day more fulfilled.

3. It’s not an overly daunting task

Believe me, I get being overwhelmed with life and feeling like crawling back underneath the covers as opposed to making them! However, the great thing about making the bed is that it’s a simple task that takes less than 10 minutes! We all have 10 minutes, right??
